TaxiCab Manager is suitable for any combination of owned or managed vehicles. If managed, you can easily supply your owners with takings, expense listings and a profitability record for their vehicle. You can charge a management fee as a percentage of take, as a flat fee, or a fee per vehicle. If owned, TaxiCab Manager allows you to easily see the profitability of each vehicle, or group of vehicles.
You can set up groups which you allocate to your vehicles, such as wagons, maxi's, rural, suburban or any grouping which applies to your operation. All reporting can then be by these groups.
Your drivers could be paid any combination of commission, set pay (shift lease), hourly rate or rate per kilometer. You can also vary your commission depending on the day of the week, shift, type of vehicle and number of shifts, and it can vary by a low, mid-range or high target takings.
You would have the drivers doing their own pay-in entry using the simplified driver entry screens, which can also be touch-screen if required. Pay-ins can also be entered by admin staff if required.
Where dockets (vouchers for payment) are taken by the driver, you can choose how much detail you want to record - just the amount (no detail at all), the docket type, or all docket detail such as passenger name, pickup, destination, time, distance etc.
If you remit your dockets to a bureau, you can supply them with a bundled printout of each docket type showing docket type, amount and total count. When you receive payment, you can easily reconcile your dockets to the payment.
You can easily set up maintenance schedules for your types of vehicles - by distance or by time. Each schedule can also have inventory items allocated to them. For example, a service might always use oil, plugs and brake pads. When you do that service on the car, the inventory is automatically allocate to the invoice.
A comprehensive reminder system alerts you when insurance, registration, lease fees and transport inspections are due. You can also set up reminders for any event that you wish to be reminded about at a later time.
Each vehicle has a profit and loss record per month - it is the combination of all of the income and expenses for that car for each month.
